Add.: I note Gavin Esler's characterization of "taxpayers' money wasted" on this byelection as being better spent on "schoolsnhospitals" employing precisely the language Gordon Brown + conspirators would wish him to use. Also, the BBC and other parts of the media are tyring to present this as a split in the Tory party. Widdy was the only Tory to vote with the government. Whereas dozens of Labour members rebelled. So which party has the bigger split?!
