I am not moving into [[Centre Point]].
But having gone through houses and flats in London, as far out as Hampstead and Enfield and as far in as Mayfair and Fitzrovia, I am having trouble finding a lot of churn. The big places are cheap and not very nice and a long way out. The nice central places are pokey and small.
Therefore I have no alternative but to rent or buy multiple modules of commercial property. The biggest modules that have the largest floorspace on one floor are in tall buildings. [[Tower 42]]?
This would push costs into the 100 million area, but would allow massive expansion and afford nice views.
However it would deny us a presence on the street so this would have to augmented with street-level retail premises in several boroughs and one central building for HQ in Westminster or Kensington for at least 10 million. This could then be managed against a proper commercial park away from the home counties. Think big. A few thousand employees. A few dozen square kilometres of parkland and buildings. The "Interfed Estate" in fact.
Once the expansion has reached maturity, it might be financially possible to downsize operations area-wise and just purchase a stately home in The North. 20 "bedroom" houses are about 60-70 million right now, but a historic home of any size would be up to 300 million. Beyond this, some sort of multi-billion dollar skyscraper in America, pyramid or Bond-esque hollow volcano would be the next step.
Transmats could make a African Fortress feasible. I could plonk a Utah-sized spaceship/arcology on top of the Arabian peninsula and nobody would notice.
Then of course, there's always interplanetary colonization...
